Tonight one Dad in a whole kindergarten meeting for parents asked to move the parent group off anything Meta, calling the company 'evil'.
Another Dad suggested Signal. Most people didn't even know what Signal was, but agreed to switch to Signal as the default way parents should communicate with each other.
So, in theory, that's going to be a group chat of ~30 users, most of which are being introduced to Signal for the first time.
Good stuff.

I tried a similar thing with a small staff group and they just opened a second group to accommodate me and no one uses it 🤓
The WhatsApp group continues to be the prime communications Method 🤷

My daughter's dance group (at a guess, 70+, pre + mid teens) decided to move to Spond en masse for the same reason. The kids get it too.
@jbenjamint I've not had the pleasure (distress) of using Spond but heard some very mixed opinions from parents on the app experience. 😆
