If you write novels, do you strive to have your chapters a consistent length?

I used to, because I was releasing my stories as serials which needed a roughly consistent length for each episode. These days i don't really worry about chapter length until I'm done writing. Then I go through and look for what feel like good points in the story to slip a chapter break in.
