#WritersCoffeeClub 18: Have you written something blasphemous? Tell us about it.

I'm an atheist who had a non-mainstream religious upbringing and I blaspheme gleefully and at length at every opportunity against any religion that privileges dogma over humanity.

@cstross Years ago (while still considering myself christian) I wrote a song called "The Saviour had an Accident" that was deemed very blasphemous by some (the last line of the refrain being "we only recognise him when he's carved in stone")

Even now I'm very much - if not atheist, then athier than most - I stand by it

@cstross This reminds me when I was looking for the reading order of the Laundry Files, and stumbled upon some disgruntled Christian's review where he warns others that 'The Fuller Memorandum' contains stuff that he considers very offensive to his beliefs. And then I started listening to 'The Apocalypse Codex' and kept giggling whenever I imagined the poor sod's face when he started this one...
