#ScribesAndMakers Sept 17. If you have creative parents, do you read what they write/appreciate their art or craft, or keep out of it altogether?

Neither of my dads had a creative bone in their bodies that I ever saw.

Ima was a threadcrafter who mostly did spinning and knitting. She made some really beautiful things before her hands got too bad.

Mom... the few times I saw my mom do anything creative, it was when she was helping me with some school project. She did some good stuff, and I kind of got the impression that she had been more creative at some point and something took that from her. Like she felt like she could only use her creativity if it was 'useful' or something, because she took real joy in it when she did something, but never made any effect to create just because. I've always thought it was kind of sad.
