The bored orcas have done it again. This time they've sunk a "tourist yacht" off the coast of Portugal. A skipper said one whale struck the rudder repeatedly, causing cracks that flooded the hull.

Five crew were safely rescued, but the orcas also had a go at another boat nearby.

Running total (only counting boats lost)
Orcas: 3
Boats: 0

No orcas were harmed during the yacht's dispatch, which is just as well because there are fewer than 50 individuals in the Iberian orca population and they're considered critically endangered.

This image shows boat vs orca encounters off the Iberian Peninsular so far this year. They've found a new game and they're persistent.
