One of my fave #stm #Montreal metro changes has been the adding, on the floor at exit doors, of cardinal direction circles, with arrows showing directions to closest city streets.

For metro stations with multiple entries from different directions, like this one at Laurier, it is very useful.

Orientation by flat map on a wall can be hard if you are new to a neighbourhood.
