I'm experiencing some annoying anti-queer bigotry in some aspects of my life right now, but as I have been doing for the last 3 decades, the best way I know how to react to that is to continue having a phenomenally great time.
i have so much queer joy, you can't possibly take that away from me.
'i don't have anything about queer people but why won't they just shut up?' is not the neutrality you think it is
many secretly homophobic and transphobic people appear to believe that the bar for being 'not homophobic and not transphobic' is that they're not actively planning to physically harm you.
that is also homophobia and transphobia.
Many people are the final solution... "But hey... NOT YET!! And maybe not completely! Aren't you glad about it? Why are you not thankful and optimistic about it?"
Is there a similar term for people who are anti-homophobic and anti-transphobic? Is it just "ally"?
