Vernissage

After a round of testing and tweaks, a new version of #Vernissage has been deployed to vernissage.photos! 🎉

This update adds a new feature for authors and moderators: the ability to view ActivityPub events. Now you can easily check where a specific event, like creating, updating, or liking a post, was sent. If everything works smoothly, the official release will go live before the weekend, and we’ll move on to the next exciting items in the queue. 🚀

@vernissage when I first read this I thought that you were supporting fediverse events like from Gancio and mobilizon :)

@liaizon Oh no, no 🫣. This is just a small disclosure of where information about various AP events is being sent to other instances. It will help with development and troubleshooting.

@span vernissage This is very useful, but won't the amount of data get a bit out hand over time?

@span Gargron It really depends on the size of the instance 😉. The data growth is definitely something worth keeping an eye on. In the future, it might be possible to clean up older entries if needed. For now, though, this is very helpful for me to track potential issues and to provide explanations for why something didn’t show up as expected.
