@baconandcoconut I mean, there are the famous ones like Long Way To A Small Angry Planet, but I'd suggest the Korval series, doubly so Agent of Change. Basically a merchant/adventurer family winds up adopting or marrying lost souls from across the galaxy over the course of many books.
