I suppose that there is an all-or-nothing paradigm regarding mentioning one's own autism.

I've never found that to be realistic.

Most people do not need to know.

Some people do need to know.

Some can be trusted absolutely with that knowledge.

People in general are far too judgemental.

Sometimes, it may be deemed bragging by some.

Too often, when someone tells everyone, there eventually is some regret, some unpleasant consequence, and, occasionally, some threatening reaction.

The persistent popularity of public confession, a, emotional, behavioural, or psychological, Page Three, as it were, is misguided, I think.

It is often better, and much less risky, to be discreet and thoughtful about disclosing it. Especially for those who have newly discovered their own #autism .
