"Was heute noch wie ein Märchen klingt, kann morgen schon Realität sein. Hier ist ein Märchen von übermorgen."

"What sounds like a fairy tale today may be reality tomorrow. Here is a fairy tale from the day after tomorrow."

Raumpatrouille (Space Patrol) was a short-lived scifi tv show from germany, that aired in 1966 and was released very shortly after the Star Trek premiere in september of that year. The main space ship was the "Orion". This is a first test render of a modern interpretation I did a few years ago in Maxon&Redshift and now converted to #Blender. WIP.

The image is a piece of fan art inspired by Raumpatrouille Orion (Space Patrol Orion). It depicts a sleek, futuristic spaceship in orbit above Earth. The craft has a large, circular, saucer-like body with smooth metallic surfaces, illuminated by small white lights along its rim. Spikes extend from its edges, giving it a sharp, imposing design. At the center sits a pyramid-like structure, enhancing its retro-futuristic aesthetic. Below, Earth is partly visible, with white clouds swirling over blue oceans and reddish-brown landmasses. The deep blackness of space surrounds the scene, emphasizing the vessel’s isolation and grandeur. The artwork captures the classic 1960s vision of space exploration—elegant, bold, and iconic.
