@stefano which compression is preferable lz4 or ztd for a zpool? Should it be tweaked?

@georgedaniel on FreeBSD I'm usually going with zstd: the recent releases have improved the detection of the incompressible data, so it's good

@stefano thank you, I am planning to create a backup system (geli+zfs) on an external 5TB seagate expansion disk based on ur article.

@georgedaniel that's a good idea. Having a backup disk protected by geli is a way to make it more protected
