Or, to be sure, more personal websites, written by humans with a passion for things. We used to have those! We even had #blogs ! I still have both of those, in fact.

I've never put any effort into #SEO because https://www.complete.org/ and https://changelog.complete.org/ are at some level fun for me to create, and hopefully useful or inspiring for people to read. Marketing is definitely not fun for me and I'd much rather write some code or do things with my family than spend time gaming search algorithms.
So the search algorithms mostly ignore me and I mostly ignore them.
