@WeirdWriter This article is intriguing, giving an insight into how writers convince themselves they need to remain on SS, LockedIn, Median, etc.

There's a lot of stuff it ignores (eg network effects), but main one is that all those things that make a writer feel like they're building an audience on SS, are there to lock us in. Much of it is illusory too, as David Farrier points out in his posts on leaving SS;

Hey sorry for the late reply, but yes! Fully agree on everything! That's what I might start doing, actually, is just flooding other spaces with TLDR versions of my writing with links back to the original so they can read it if they so wish.
