Well, the Big C rollercoaster threw me a nasty yesterday.

It turns out I have something called Lynch Syndrome, which is a genetic abnormality on one or more of a small number of genes. I have one, just one, but that one means some of my cells can't repair damaged DNA. This puts me at increased risk of not just prostate cancer (we knew about that already!) but also colorectal, intestinal, stomach, pancreas and others.

When will it end?

It also explains why my prostate cancer was so aggressive and the metastases presented in an unusual way.

Being genetic though, I may have passed that on to my kids. And that sucks.
