...what is it with geospatial engineers and software people and utterly missing the point of rock climbing?
It's not meant to be "made easy by software tools"
Climbing cliffs is a privilege, And extremely hard on multiple levels. Especially unbolted cliffs. Especially new cliffs.
That is the entirety of the point. it is supposed to be hard. Safe outcomes are supposed to arise out of a mentoring driven evolution of multiple skills.
