So a local paper publishes, as a groundbreaking discovery, that we here in #PuertoRico pay the highest taxes in all the USA, because even though we are not a state, and have no representation (don't try to "actually" me or I'll laugh you the fuck off), we DO pay federal taxes.

This has been known for decades!

But people here close their eyes and ignore it cuz the political parties here (right-wingers!) have sold this idea that statehood will be so good it might even start snowing!
