Is a fast battery swap (rather than charging) the answer to many electric vehicle drivers' concerns about charging times?

In Chine a EV start up (Nio) working with the world's biggest battery maker (CATL) already have a network of battery swap sites & are looking to expand the technology/service.

Given battery rental has occasional been mooted as a cost-reduction strategy for EVs, coupling it with quick swap stations could be an interesting step for EVs?
