I wanted to marvel at the bot madness but

GitHub kept timing out while transferring 4MB

and browser kept choking on processing 14MB of resources

all spread out over 222 requests

for an issue thread with what about 25 text comments plus about the same number of logged repo actions?

Lord, but GitHub has so many problems.

@randomgeek @ShadowJonathan @rysiek It's not just Github, it's basically every websiteapp nowadays. Click a link to a text article, something fails to load off CDN and you're greeted with "You're offline, try again after establishing internet connection" (seriously, they blame you for a fail on their side).

@jernej__s yeah, and to make it even more grating, this is "web developers" doing cargo cult programming. Using CDNs in the mistaken belief that that makes sites load faster specifically because that FontAwesome script already got cached in the browser for some other site.

That's not even how browsers work anymore. It has not been the way browsers work for about a decade now, in fact.

*shakes fist at cloud*

@rysiek @randomgeek @ShadowJonathan I'm most annoyed at the "It's your fault!" error message, because I've seen it on a ton of different sites, where each was different, but they all assumed I was trying to use an app offline, not a website where I followed an external link to. If it was at least "We're having problems loading the site, try again later", but no, it was always "How dare you try using this thing offline"?
