Names are words. They are sound sequences in a specific language, with its own specific phonetic repertoire, phonotactics, and morphology. They are not universal invariants, and it is unreasonable to expect people who speak different languages with different repertoires to say them "correctly". My name is not the same in French, or Finnish, or Japanese, as it is in my native language, English.

This has been a #Worldcon subtoot.
