This morning I left home a half an hour before dawn and rode across the GW Bridge on my way to Overpeck County Park in Leonia, NJ. After two predawn bike rides I might be addicted to riding in the dark. Plus I arrive at my destinations when the wildlife is waking up. Bambi triplets were having breakfast and they let me watch them for quite a while before they disappeared into the tall wild grasses.

Two fawns are standing in grass with their heads bend down while eating. The fawn in front is mostly obscuring the view of the fawn behind. Both have white spots on their backs and each one has a distinct spot pattern.

In profile, a fawn is standing with its head bent down so it could eat grass. This fawn is so young that it still has white spots on its light brown back.
