The right to strike is meaningless if the government orders binding arbitration and back to work every time a strike becomes ‘disruptive’ … disruption is the point of a strike - it’s how labour action works - not allowing it undermines workers.
As a result of this readiness to jump to intervention, government is encouraging CEOs to push workers toward strikes rather than negotiating in good faith.
