@jbz I'm still searching for the famous bugs on wayland, and I have a Nvidia GPU. Would love for someone to point them out, because I really can't find them.

The current reality is that, bunch of crybabies aside, wayland works almost perfectly and the vast majority of users don't even give a flying fuck. Hell, most people don't even know what's the difference and will go with whatever their distro has by default, which nowadays is usually wayland. The only programs that occasionally break are the ones that refuse to support wayland out of principle. That and native games of steam, but at least those are fixed by forcing proton.

X11 is an obsolete and insecure mess. My first experience with linux was years ago and it actually pushed me away because the tearing on the desktop was unbearable and I blamed linux as a whole. That issue is still present today on modern hardware. Also promoting the nazi-developed Xlibre fork is just dumb, because that guy is only pushing updates like testing without any testing. Either fix X11 or stop whining.
