@alanboyle I know Woody Hoburg by his #HamRadio callsign KB3HTZ. In 2011 when he was working on his PhD at UC Berkeley, he participated with the Stratofox Aerospace Tracking Team. Our team assisted the California Near Space Project with tracking their CNSP-05 balloon. That was 4 years before CNSP went on to make balloons circumnavigate the globe. And 6 years before Woody was in the 2017 NASA astronaut class. But on that day, CNSP-05 fell in the ocean. https://www.cnsp-inc.com/cnsp-05/ #space#tech
