To be honest, it's hard to be sad for Darwin. Collect £400 per week, £20m per year, three years deal, make £60m then return to Europe by age 29, and play again if you can be bothered.
Darwin may never be a UCL champion, but he's an EPL champion. For some like Isak becoming a Premier League champion is still a dream. For some like Stevie G, it's something that will remain elusive forever.
So, Darwin didn't do too bad. This is for the best for everyone involved.
