I鈥檝e got to praise #Apple: My Mac has been at 100% CPU the entire day, converting video files from a non-hardware-accelerated format into H.265, and I barely noticed.
I just used it normally, and even ran emulated Windows 11 for a while, converting DVDs into MKV files (legally!). And it still just worked. No rainbow-wheel-of-doom, no stuttering, the fans were always barely audible.
