Since moving into our house last year I can often smell cannabis coming from next door. I assumed they were recreational users and went about my life.

But this morning, the postman gave me a knowing wink and said "nice smell down the side of your house" which prompted me to investigate further.

It seems to be coming from this plant which is right outside my office window and at the side of my neighbour's house.

Is it St John's wort? Something else? 🤔

@dajb @seachaint this is interesting. Occasionally get a pungent smell on calm evenings in our back garden and I'd also had similar thoughts – about people passing 'cos there are paths on those sides of us – but there is also a LOT of Hypercurium and I never see anyone smoking. Will need to investigate more closely next time I smell it.
