@deadsuperhero @dentangle Julian has implemented a fix. 🙏

Folks were already discussing and considering it a mistake in configuration.

I'd suggest you go and read the 8 tips for fedidevs again.

https://privacy.thenexus.today/consent-for-fediverse-developers/

I get you want the dev community to prosper, I do too, but pushing back without reading the thread does not help.

Neither Brett or I appreciated the idea we didn't understand about backfilling. Weither it was accidental or a scrape, the posts ended up indexed on Google.

@onepict @dentangle There is no need for hostility. I helped expand that article in a collaboration for We Distribute: https://wedistribute.org/2024/07/fediverse-privacy-and-consent/

I did not mean to imply that you did not understand. It’s just that I’ve seen people freak out about this in the past, miscategorize something innocuous, and outcomes lead to actual harm in the past. It is a sensitive topic.

Hi @julian

I know you're very busy sitting on panels at #Fedicon and talking about how to make the fediverse better. Great.

Unfortunately you are still running a scraper that is feeding search engines.

You've been posting from the con (tip: we use alt text on pictures here on the fediverse), so I know you're online.

You're following me, so you'll have seen my question. @Gargron has spoken to you too I believe.

A day later, no acknowledgement or apology or fix or promise of a fix. Why?
