Spotify users in the UK have to verify their age to listen to Parental Advisory music due to the Online Safety Act.

We're being infantalised for something that's already manageable by parental controls.

It could even end up in accounts being deactivated 🤯

Bad law makes for bad, incoherent outcomes. That's the #OSA for you.

@openrightsgroup I've advised a couple of family members to download their playlists with Spotifyer ahead of time and enjoy their music without a subscription

When Spotify want their face scan, they are cancelling their family plan subscription rather than hand over face scans etc but they haven't been asked yet

People need to ditch low quality streaming services and go back to buying and owning their music
