@whitequark rough plan at the moment is to use a CH569 dev board, hook up its high-speed parallel interface to Glasgow’s LVDS header, and just shovel data between the CH569 USB3 and HSPI peripherals. Similar to what the FX2 does (I know FX2 does a lot of other things on the Glasgow too). Unfortunately not enough GPIOs on the LVDS header to do full 32-bit words, but 16-bit words should be doable.

Part of it is experimenting with the CH569’s peripherals, part of it is getting better with writing stuff in Amaranth for the Glasgow. But mostly because it would be funny.
