Rebooting a machine often solves weird issues. I was fighting with wget on one of my machines. It wouldn't correctly build a TLS connection. I debugged for around 10 minutes and was annoyed. So. Reboot. And sure, after that things JustWork™. Rebooting frequently also helps making sure that the changes you made are persisted 😉 The longer the uptime, the higher the chance you forget about those little changes you made ... #LifeHack
