Starmer vs Starmer: a lot of opinions, so I might as well add mine.

The explanation is that Starmer is only interested in power - Human Rights were a ‘trendy’ subject as his career progressed and he is clearly an able lawyer. So he got on the bandwagon. But as we see with human rights, policing, privacy and much more, his real instincts and comfort zone lie with authoritarianism. Simple maybe, but close to the truth.
