Such is life. When any of my friends want a chat group - it is always WhatsApp. Suggesting Signal just leaves them blank.
Most minds are closed to alternatives not matter any benefits. Hence Linux's 5% share of the desktop and the assumption that PC means Windows - or possibly Mac if you are really cool.
It's very common that interviews start with "...who has a new book/film/album/podcast/TV show" and for me it instantly makes the whole interview less credible.
Reminds me of that #Tarantino interview where he refuses to answer questions and then straight up says "This is a commercial for my movie".
