@decryption This has got to be the Drunk who rambles for what feels like 100 pages in Crime & Punishment? I may have skimmed or skipped a lot of that and then had to refer back to it later in the novel
@decryption in Russia till late 1960's life expectancy was around 40 years old, mainly due to high vodka consumption and a poor quality health system..

@decryption Don’t worry. He lived in Russia, had a big beard and probably looked 75 and like a bag of spanners when he wrote it. 3 years of Russian living was probably equal to 6 years in the west!
