@powersource @dantescanline Mastodon already recognises inbound links with `rel=me` (verified links). If Mastodon also allowed you to mark an outbound profile link with `rel=me`, then we'd have a working #sameAs mechanism.

Given this, Mastodon could (offer to) automatically follow whoever your other account is publicly following.

You can remove those `rel=me` links at any time, so Mastodon could keep a last-known list of who your other account follows, and periodically check for new follows/unfollows. So now your follows are synced between your 2 Mastodon accounts.

Other Fediverse software can recognise `rel=me` links and do the same, and now your Mastodon account and Bookwyrm account's public follows are automatically synced.
