I hope it improves but wow the first episode of the latest season of #Foundation is so bad. Feels like it was made by committee and someone suggested they should throw in a speeder/pod racing scene. The most expensive looking mediocre television I've seen.

Part of the issue is how good Andor was. They used CGI but also built incredible sets. Worldbuilding with costume, culture, language, architecture, interiors, and more. Foundation's CGI is fine but otherwise it often just feels like they're standing around somewhere on Earth.
@continuation it's hard to imagine any scifi tv series surpassing what Andor achieved. It raised the bar on multiple levels.
I'd have to go back and see if previous Foundation seasons feel that way now, after Andor, or not. But I don't remember them being that way. So perhaps they reduced the budget for physical environments or something else in this new season?
