Given I've been tooting #Trains2Tatras, am pleased to report I not only made it up into the High Tatras today, I did so by little train.
Specifically, by the lovingly restored Kométa electric train built in 1913. It's a beautiful machine that makes all the right noises as it accelerates towards its top speed of 30km/h. Whenever it parks up, it passes that responsibility to an organ grinder (just visible to right).

Inside view of Kométa under way, looking into the cab where the driver is standing.

Tiny rural train station. An old green electric train and one carriage stand at a platform. In the shade of the small station building, the driver and his organ grinder pal chat.
