Short version: A brick structure with cylindrical sections and mirrors, built in a fjord. Fuller description: Seen from a slight distance, across a short wooden bridge, as if floating in the water, Olafur Eliasson's architectural artwork Fjordenhus – the house on the fjord. It is on the water in Vejle Fjord, Denmark. Commissioned by Vejle Kunstmuseum (Art Museum), it comprises four interconnected cylinders with a height of 28 meters. The brickwork and angles are gorgeous, both seen together and individually. The overall structure, seen here, is both bombastic and inviting at the same time. It sort of suggests waves or sails on the water, but at the same time has a slight look of a fortress.

Short version: The upper part of Fjordenhus, described in the other photo in this toot.
