If they ever make #vegan cheese that tastes good, they'd be on to a winner.
I'm not a scientist or a cheesemaker (blessed be) but I kinda imagine that you should just put some existing cheese cultures into a vegan protein mix, with the correct chemicals added, and it would come out as decent vegan cheese.
The thing is, I imagine something stupid and obvious like that is someone no one's ever tried.
Instead they're like, mix some soy and flavour with some yeast to bring a vague cheese-like flavour, then soak cashews overnight and blend, etc.
