Unofficial vendors often set up tables on the sidewalks bordering the block on Isham Street where, every Saturday morning, the GrowNYC-sponsored Farmers' Market takes place.
This morning there was a "Gaza Market" table, whose proceeds go to families in Gaza.

@baslow love this idea, wondering if we could mix Palestinian products from Equal Exchange with local donated products

I'm not sure if this woman plans to be at the Inwood Farmers' Market next week -- she may travel a circuit around NYC. However, everything on her table was homemade and, speaking to her, I got the impression that she aims to support four specific families...so personal may be important to her.
That said, it is a replicable model, of which variations might be attempted...but I'd have to think about where best to circulate the suggestion.

I have the feeling that they might be interested if presented with
- a well-worked-out plan,
- sufficiently organized to insure participation ( both effort and financial support)
- on the part of enough people to keep the whole thing going...
sort of like a congregation

@baslow The image depicts an outdoor market scene with a table covered by a pink tablecloth adorned with orange tassels. The table is set up with various items, including baked goods in brown paper bags, ceramic mugs, and jars. A sign on the table reads "Welcome to: Gaza Market 100% of Proceeds go directly to families in Gaza facing hunger By The People, For The People." The sign is made of cardboard and features colorful lettering.

In the foreground, a woman in a white t-shirt is leaning over the table, engaging with a young child in a blue shirt. To the left, a man in a black t-shirt and shorts stands with his hand on the table, observing the interaction. To the right, another woman with gray hair, wearing a gray t-shirt and a backpack, is looking at a smartphone. The background shows a grassy area with trees and parked cars, indicating a park-like setting. The scene is bright and sunny, with sunlight filtering through the trees.
