@cwebber One of the main reasons I give talks. People approach speakers afterwards and jump right into the topic one is currently invested in. No smalltalk necessary.

I'm being humorous, I know this doesn't generalize. It's just weird that it has happened a few times these last four months

It astounds me that anyone recognizes me in advance when it happens but I guess since the places I've been traveling to are mostly hacker and queer meetups, it's not surprising that there tends to be fedi people there

@cwebber hmm... reminds me that we were rewatching Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell and the party scenes reminded me of that. Good that you don't have to rely on a Drawlight.
