🔥 Bonfire Install Party #1 – Get your fediverse instance running!

Bonfire (@bonfire) seems to align technologically with many of the values which I am trying to promote with the #CommunitariumProject* (and with the more general approach of #SeizeTheMeansOfCommunity ). Unfortunately, I have something scheduled for that time, so I'm hoping that a video record of the event will be made available.

I've got a Linode and a domain name ready...given sufficiently idiot-proof instructions, I'm ready to try an installation!

@baslow awesome! Make sure to point the DNS of your domain (including a wildcard A record) to the IP of your server, as that can take some time to propagate.

From what you're saying I gather that this session will include installation of Co-op cloud? My hope is to install that on the domain name (peoplescloud.nyc) and then install various apps on subdomains: bonfire.peoplescloud.nyc, nextcloud.peoplescloud.nyc

Possible? Does Co-op cloud provide any SSO facilities?

@baslow yeah @coopcloud is perfect for that scenario! 😊

There are several SSO recipes available for coopcloud. or Bonfire also support OAuth and OpenID Connect (as client or server), though testing with more apps is still needed...
