I'll continue to share data to keep people informed about #COVID19, but the COVID-cautious community is getting exhausting. Someone attacked others for "abandoning caution." I'm sorry, but adjusting behaviors based on risks is the smart thing to do. We all have different social and psychological needs, and tightening or loosening caution is what we should be doing versus demanding an all or nothing COVID care.

Let me ask you this: Do you never drive because accidents can occur? (1/2)

People drive despite the risks--until they've had drinks or the conditions are dangerous. Altering decisions based on risks is smart--but not to the militants in the CC community. During this period of historically low COVID, I still avoid indoor crowds, but I've socialized in emptier, ventilated spaces in line with the reduced risks. I'll raise caution in the months ahead as COVID surges. If we want people to care and act, we need to help them live their lives, not attack them for doing so. 2/2
