I took my camera to a late opening at our local conservation zoo last week.
"Show us all the cool animals, Rob!" I hear you saying.
"Okay," I reply, while uploading photos of a particularly photogenic pigeon I met while leaving the woodland enclosures 馃

A side-on portrait of a pigeon against green leaves and golden light. The pigeon has a grey head and body, but their chest is purple, and distinct layers of textured white and iridescent green feathers run up the side and back of their neck. The sunset is blooming through the tip of their orange beak.

A pigeon extending its long neck to peer at this strange man holding a camera. It is lit by a slash of golden light coming from the left.

A pigeon sitting dramatically in a tree in the golden light of sunset. They're searching through the foliage for little red berries.

A lithe grey pigeon strikes a dramatic pose on a branch, surrounded by green foliage glowing with golden sunset light.
