When I first came to Mastodon--specifically, on the #Fosstodon instance--I had already abandoned Xitter (the X makes a "sh" sound, like in Mandarin pinyin) for Bluesky, and I didn't think mastodon was ever likely to be my platform of choice--not enough normal people, too techie-focused, likely to be an echo chamber.
I was very wrong about that. I've been slowly realizing that over the course of months, but today I had an important realization, and perhaps discovered a useful metric.
