In early 2001, we seriously pondered relocating from #Germany to the #USA because I had received a pretty great job offer in CO. It didn't pan out, and I was sad for a while.

Then 9/11 happened, and I watched the US go off the rails. And that train wreck never stopped, they just kept adding wagons.

I didn't know much but I knew that Bush's "Just buy more shit" was not the right answer to the people's question, "What can we do?".
