Today Undercover Policing Inquiry hears from #spycops manager, DCI Malcolm MacLeod (aka ‘HN69’) who spent just under a year in charge of the unit, between 1986-87.

Prior to joining the SDS, MacLeod worked on C Squad’s ‘Alternatives’ desk – which handled animal rights & anarchist groups like London Greenpeace.

Comment by Tom Fowler:
"After leaving the #spycops unit, DCI Malcolm MacLeod went on to be line manager for the Animal Rights National Index. Says ARNI first came out of Essex Police, and was absorbed by the Home Office to feed intelligence to all police forces. Based in Scotland Yard."
