The editorial board of the 52-yr old Journal of Human Evolution just resigned to protest #Elsevier's interference with editorial practices, reducing journal quality, and insistence on a high #APC ($3990), reducing its affordability to authors in the field. "We all care deeply about the journal, our discipline, and our academic community; however, we find we can no longer work with Elsevier in good conscience."
