It makes me chuckle a little that one of the biggest NFT stores on the Cardano blockchain is just called 'JPG Store'.

So many people are like "NFTs are shit. Do you not realise you're just buying an image?" and the name 'JPG Store' is just screaming "Come and buy some expensive JPGs"

When I initially read about NFTs, I thought they were a good idea because the sales pitch that I read wasn't "You buy a JPG that may or may not exist on the internet in future"

BUT, it was more about you buy a physical thing (a limited edition vinyl record, or a physical piece of art) and the NFT is a digital representation of that piece and bought / sold / transferred with the physical piece as a record of ownership.

And that kind of made sense to me.
