Ich habe mich nie „entschieden“, trans zu sein.
Ich habe mich nur entschieden, nicht länger so zu tun, als sei ich ein Mann.
Denn ich wurde als Frau geboren. Aber viele Jahre lang wusste ich nicht, was mit mir los war. Es gab ja keine Informationen, niemanden, den ich hätte fragen können. Also dachte ich: Mit mir stimmt etwas nicht – und gab vor, ein Junge, ein Mann zu sein. Weil man das von mir erwartete. Aber es war stets eine große Lüge.
Mein Coming-out vor sieben Jahren war befreiend.
Ich lebe nun als die Frau, als die ich geboren wurde. Ich verstecke mich nicht mehr, gebe nicht mehr vor, jemand zu sein, der ich gar nicht sein kann.
Und war 50, als ich mein Coming-out hatte. Es ist nie zu spät.
